Goa! The word that comes to my mind when I hear it’s all party and beaches. It is rightly considered as the coolest party hub in India. This was my first visit to this state and I couldn’t explain in words as how much fun we had. We were a group of five and stayed in a hotel near Calangute Beach. As it was the very first time for few of us to Goa, so we wanted to cover the most renowned places. We landed on a Friday night in November and the first thing we did was taking a small tour to the most popular, Baga beach and then went to the Curlies, across Anjuna beach. Curlies is Rustic beach shack with rooftop seating and offers Goan dishes, cocktails and club nights. The way to Curlies was an experience in itself, it is built in such an interior place and the entire passage looks so haunted and dark, which makes it all more fun. We took a seat outside from where one can see the beach. It was so relaxing after the journey and the food was yummy too.
The next day we planned for the water sports, so we went early in the morning to Calangute beach and enjoyed the biking, banana ride, rafting and Para-sailing. Para-sailing was a lovely experience, those few moments when you’re in the air… that view to the sea and sunset is to die for. After the tiring day we went to the Baga side and hogged on to the sumptuous dishes, we ate at Burritos and Dominos. Later that night we visited a club called Love Passion Karma, the entire architecture of the place is mesmerizing, it is such a beautiful construction and the music they play is splendid. Next day we went to just relax on the beach, had brunch at the shack itself and did a little shopping. The sea food there is a must try, especially the prawns and Pomfret fish. Later that day we visited a casino, Deltin Royale. It is built in a ship and sails in the sea with beautiful construction, ambience and food. Deltin Royale is an experience in itself. There are suites if one would like to stay there.
Next day we headed to the Chhapora fort and the Vagator. Of all the beaches I loved vagator the most, it was so serene and mesmerizing, the sunset view was alluring. The same night we went to the Club cabana, which was a little slow in business being a Monday but the place was lovely. Sometimes, when there is some less crowd, we can talk to ourself. It was an amazing 4 day trip and I so look forward to visiting this magical place again. Next time probably I would like to explore the south side of Goa and Dudsagar falls.
